Honestly I'm baffled by the umpiring there. Did he think it was LBW? Then why was the soft signal out, was that forced by the original decision?

I think Aleem just gave it out in a Shakoor Rana moment and everything else just unravelled from there coz obviously the ball had bounced well before Rizwan took it, which Rizwan himself may have pointed out, and then they just gave soft signal out as an attempt to save face.

Would love to have someone ask Aleem what exactly was he giving it out for as it was obvious he did not hit it and it was also obvious the ball did not carry to the keeper.

Man if those bails can withstand a full toss effort ball from Shaheen crashing into the stumps then there's clearly something very wrong

This was in the PSL right? They actually light up for a millisecond before they went off.

Definitely think if the bail is going to be heavier with the zing stuff, we may have to consider ball hitting the stumps being good enough for bowled dismissals. I suppose the problem would be in determining when the stumps were broken for stumpings and run outs?

I mean it's worth noting that in this case it was only really a nick off the stump, it didn't really hit it that hard. I don't think the stump itself even moved that much.
