Easy to blame Watson for a naff shot there (and obviously there's some blame) but the bloke at the other end striking at around 20 should shoulder some of it too.

Average cricket from OZ in general there.
Reminds me of the Nash/Deonarine partnership at the WACA.

PrinceEWS would heavily disagree though, as it wasn't Nash's fault last time, it can't be Katich's fault this time. All Watson right?

Will be Chris Martin's last test IMO, seems to have lost a yard of pace in the last month or so & offers absolutely zero with bat & in the field ....getting sick of him tbh :)

Sad but true.

I was hoping he'd get to 200 wickets before his time came, but that's not looking likely now.

Well, I suppose with just two wickets lost that was our session, but I feel all dirty saying it when Katich has a SR of 25.

Everyone mocking Katich here, but dare I say it NZ fans wouldn't mind one bit if one of our openers occupied the crease for this long at a S/R of 25.

Be fair, Katich had four runs called leg byes so his real SR is 27.4285714 but you are right i we run out of time it will be Katichs fault.

< 100 and the effort is wasted, though. That's been the biggest problem with Kat of late, though; has been using up a ton of time/deliveries without it adding up to much in terms of progressing OZ's cause in a game.

Could be worse. Just need to keep the collapse at bay.
This, waiting for Huss to get out driving outside of off in the first 5 after lunch, followed by Katich in his 70's/80's dollying a catch straight to mid-off (although this might have to wait till day 4...), and North soon after caught behind.
