If we lose at Christchurch then the 2 series will be exactly the same. Whitewashes where we should have won 1 game, but choked at the end (Wellington both times).

I was panicking just as much as the players, but really, Mills hit the ball straight back to the bowler and ran, when he would have only needed 2 off the last ball to tie the game. A crazy piece of cricket.
I think it was justified. 3 off the final ball would be far too much with field restrictions and such a good fielding side. Whereas there was a chance of a run and if they made it then they'd need just 1 for a tie. I think it was the right decision to take the run and they didn't miss it by much.

That equals Blee's most expensive bowling effort, third time he's conceded more than 80 in a ODI.

Insane game! Great bowling by Clark and Hogg and amazing stuff from Lewis. Three huge wickets on his debut, and a great last over. I`m dissapointed for Bracken, and that LBW was plumb! Huge game, the bad bit for me was the crapness of Nath and Brett.

Great game. I feel sorry for NZ, but not too much. They were undone by a brilliant piece of fielding, and the better team on the day won the match. Besides, Clown needed to have his 156 be in a winning effort.

...sniff....

Can't believe we lost that. I got home from work right when Ponting was having a big whine about the no-ball (typical, for about the millionth time I miss a really good game due to work) and we only needed 7 from 8. I know Lewis bowled a great over and Clarke got a massive run out, but really with less than a run a ball needed to win we should have got home comfortably.

MICK LEWIS!! The hero!! The legend!! THE SUPERSTAR!! 3 wickets on debut. Simply amazing. Wouldn't expect anything less from you, Micky. What a performance. F***ing brilliant!!

Bugger off, Lee we have a new fast bowler.

What was Lewis clocked at?
Mid-130s, generally, with a slower ball around 115. Not 140s at all. I thought he did well, and bowled with good control, but the wickets he took were due to the imposing target more than anything else. Rash shots attempted in trying to hit boundaries out of necessity. The last over was good, but for me it all comes down to Clarke's runout, and a suicidal run right after. Lewis was bowling at two mediocre batsmen (they're really just bowlers) under extreme pressure. Even Sachin Tendulkar has done as well as if not better than Lewis did repeatedly in similar situations. What I'm saying here is that Lewis shouldn't be overrated for this performance.

Ummm.... I would say Symonds was more of a hero, a legend, a superstar, but whatever :p

I cant decide if I like beating the Kiwis or the Poms in a thriller more. Its a toughie... God, that was good.

There's gotta be a hero with the bat and the ball :p

Massive game that. Gonna "acquire" a replay of that game for the archives. :D

Terrible last over from Brett Lee. He cracks under pressure, of late.

Symonds is a champ and I hope he makes a Test ton this summer. I wonder how many runs both he and Clarke have score in partnerships...they have been involved a couple of big ones. This one was the biggest 5th wicket for Australia!

Lol Symonds should never have been allowed back in the aussie team. Turning up drunk on match day, great respect for your country. Hardly a legend.

Great knock though. Sensational stuff.

I was at the ground and the brett lee's a w anker chant was outstanding. Only 16,000 people but the best atmosphere I have ever experienced at the stadium.

As for the result... whatever, I am used to losing to Aus like that. I am kind of immune to the dissapointment now.

What a game. Stupid Lee though, way to lose your head
Deserves to be dropped after a performance like that. I mean, I'm usually on Lee's side for anything, but that was just outrageous. How he managed that I'll never know. Best give him the last game off.

I hate to say it but no team is better at losing from winning situations than NZ. :@

Amazing game of cricket though

Hmm i guess, but what a shocker. The first noball/4 was forgiveable but then following it up with a terrible bounce as well, not to mention bowling it in the wrong areas in that kind of situation.

But i doubt they will drop him after this terrible performance, but if Australia had lost it may be different
