The only thing enjoyable about that game was the "Who lost the Ashes?" chant. And that was very amusing.

There were variations of that for netball, rugby and league too, but the Ashes one was the loudest.

So, where are all the Brett Lee haters this evening??
There's not many Brett Lee ODI haters. There are some however who think he got far too much cotton ball treatment after his pathetic returns in test cricket for 5 years.

how bad were the australian jerseys? did not go with the trousers at all.....
Agreed.

The jerseys just dont look right. I certainly wont be purchasing that jersey.

I'd love to see the designers go with something similar to the 1999 world cup jersey with yellow as the main colour and also the south cross on the front.

That will be the "home" jersey.

The "away" jersey is that which we saw today.

i still maintain the supposed 'away' jersey is nothing more than a grab for money from adidas. in the process making our champions look like clowns.

It has to be said...

I could be incorrect, but I think Bracken now has the best ODI bowling average of all-time, with the qualification of at least 1000 balls bowled.

Great to see the boys doing well with out Pigeon. Lee is a tremendous bowler (especially in the one-dayers). People might have a go at him about his economy rate, but he is there to get wickets. When you have someone like McGrath at the other end, it doesnt matter if he goes for 4 and a half an over. If he gets 2-3 wickets then he has done his job. Great spell by Binger.

BACK LEE TO GET THE MOST WICKETS AT THE WORLD CUP IN 2007. HE IS A SPECIAL

(2003 - came second with (i think) 23 wickets, 1 behind Vaas.

McMillan was angry at the people at the ASB stand moving up and down when the ball was about to be bowled. Thing is, it was only him that found it a problem....Lee did his best to help and went right over to the base of the ASB stand waving for the people to sit down, and the end result was the whole stand waving back at him.

They probably didn't show it on TV, but one of the streakers was magnificent. Side stepped 2 guards, did a goose step to get away from another until he was confronted by guards from all angles. And then the guards found a random pair of shorts and fitted them onto him infront of the sidescreen which caused McMillan to mouth off saying he was distracted....

I sat near an Aussie bloke who had lots to say and even more to drink.

Sick of the continued insults, a couple of English guys replied in kind.

"Aussie Aussie Ashes, gone gone gone.

Ashes, Gone
Ashes, Gone,

Aussie Aussie Ashes, gone gone gone."
