Been really good from Bird with the old and new ball. Impressive stuff.
Think that's the shot he was talking about tbhI don't think Henry is going to cover himself in technical glory in this innings or most others tbh. Check out that airy drive to something 2 feet outside off for instance.
He was talking about the backfoot punch I think, I was talking about the play and miss.Think that's the shot he was talking about tbh
So in that period Southee averages 35, Boult 32, Bracewell 43, Craig 46 and Henry 60.Is it the time where we start questioning Southees spot in the side? In the ODI side, I reckon Henry is a better option, and in Tests he's been mediocre for over a year now.
Average of 35 in the last 2 years (a lot higher if you exclude SL and WI) and average of 39 for the last year.
Average of 67 against Aus, 49 against England and 51 against Pakistan.

We can't afford to carry Southee especially if Boult is not in top form.
It's Gnske, I think he was talking about the play and miss.He was talking about the backfoot punch I think, I was talking about the play and miss.
Haha yeah I thought I'd misheard at first.Find it weird the commentators are trying to talk up a game of 120.... Australia will chase that 1 or 2 down at most.
Tbf it's not easy when you lose the toss....Like it's a genuine disgrace that Southee still gets to bat 8 whilst batting like he does.
#intentWhy is Henry swinging wildly at deliveries well wide of off? It's so ****ing weird. Watling is still there and the lead is 90, New Zealand could add another 100 runs if the tail hangs around and Watling bats well.
That would drive me nuts as an NZ fan. Lyon, Siddle, Hazlewood etc aren't the most accomplished batsmen but they'd be trying to survive if they were out there with Nevill in this situation.
The McHesson mantra presumably, probably cost them Adelaide if the tail end hadn't gone into gleeful swing mode. Why is Henry swinging wildly at deliveries well wide of off? It's so ****ing weird. McHesson? I think it's just McCullum to be honest. McCullum has never had a theory or opinion that Hesson didn't instantly agree with. Hesson is a small ventriloquists dummy, made mostly of wood and papier mache. The McHesson mantra presumably, probably cost them Adelaide if the tail end hadn't gone into gleeful swing mode.
I think we've got used to it as NZ fans. They've played that way consistently for the last couple of years. Gets commented on a bit, mostly when we want to abuse Southee for being a complete batting flake. There are situations where playing like that is warranted, but we do it every game, and it's something I hope changes when Williamson takes over as captain. Why is Henry swinging wildly at deliveries well wide of off? Was something we put with as long as they were bowling well.I think we've got used to it as NZ fans. They've played that way consistently for the last couple of years. I'm mostly alright with the #intent cliche stuff, I think an aggressive approach is normally pretty good. But you'd think that a number 9 batting with an established batsman would be willing to focus on survival for a few overs under these conditions.I think we've got used to it as NZ fans.
