Well that's some catch.

Farewell, McCullum. One of the most exciting and invigorating cricketers of our time in many ways.

CM Punk

State Vice-Captain
Another Test lost at home within 4 days.

A very disappointing series which has given us all a reality check of where this team belongs (outside the top 4).

Jord

U19 Vice-Captain
Top 10 NZ batsman in tests.
Best wicketkeeper batsman NZ has ever produced.
#1 performing Batsman in T20I and T20 worldwide.
Best captaincy the side has seen since Crowe.

Good knock Baz, enjoy retirement and the horses pal.

A pity but appropriate in many ways. Enrapturing and frustrating in equal measure. Farewell Baz, we'll miss you.

Great catch that, and well done McCullum. A serious entertainer on the field and seems a decent bloke off it too. Speaks his mind without the overt sanctimony and hypocrisy of someone like a Flopdulkar or the whining of the thin skinned Kumble. Hope he enjoys his retirement and replaces someone like Ian Smith or Brian Waddle in a Kiwi commentary box asap.

No way. I think there is a gap between Aus and the rest of the world at the moment and then you've got about five sides including NZ who are all very similar and rely on match conditions to be effective. India aren't really effective anywhere but India, South Africa are rebuilding, England struggle outside England with exception to the odd sub continent win.

Aus are just plainly better at the moment mostly due to their batting unit which for the summer has performed collectively better than any Australian side since Bradman. Warner is the only guy without a century a score in their Top 5 in a two test series. That's ridiculous.
