Possibly we have seen rahul dravids last innings. The man is pretty down at the moment.
I do not understand why dhoni want to send rahul at one down when he knows that his form is quite atrocious.
Well done mate for your services to india.

Dravid i believe should be on the verge of being dropped right now, unless he

1)he scores big in one of the ranji trophy matches before selection for the england series.
2)Dhoni/kirsten stands up for him in the selection meeting for one last chance.

Permanently?
I would say no.

With Ganguly leaving, you don't really need two long term batsmen to leave at the same time.

I think he's just found it tough against Australia, and even if his next opponent bowl better then Australia, he could still do better.

He deserves to retire on his own terms, but obviously if the poor form continues he wont get that opportunity.

I'm not a fan of Rohit; Raina has been far more impressive than him and his FC record is significantly better. Yuvrav, you'd think has had enough chances (for at least now), maybe in a few more years.
Raina is not the complete cricketer, He has a big backfoot problem.

Rohit, regardless of statistics, is much better.

It'll be hard to call for one last chance with so many decent, young batsmen knocking on the door. Granted, Ganguly was given one last chance this series and at least he's ensured he'll be leaving on a high note.

With Dravid, who is undoubtedly the superior batsman, I always figured he'd finally find his form and bring his average up to 55-56 where it belongs. Alas.

I predict he announces his retirement for the end of the England series and the selectors let him have his way for one more series like they did for Ganguly. :p

Punter really needs to improve his body language, even when he is talking to umpires, he looks so "complaining, bullying". Bad for TV.

Dravid, imho, should be given another chance, his replacements doesnt seem good enough to fill in his large boots. Just one more, Pls Dhoni.

The decline of Dravid has been quite sad. I hate it when I see a player of any nation when they have been at the top of their game and one of the best in the business drop off quite a lot. If he was ten years younger, it would be written off as a form slump (as it is now), and nothing more, but given his age (35), his form slump is considered past-it and is time to be axed forever.

I think Sobers noted something similar to what I said and how hypocritical it was in his book.
