Really great spell from Johnson this morning. Sehwag's shot was pretty much ass, but he deserved his wickets and he bowled some really good stuff that didn't get any reward also. He's really made the most of the conditions.

I generally felt he deserved his spot and he would do okay on Indian wickets, he's always been good in ODIs in the subcontinent, so I'm happy for the guy. Hopefully this vindicates the decision to pick him as the incumbent instead of Bollinger.

He's bowling very well, you still see the raw element, i.e. bowls a good ball, then gets angry and goes for runs the next ball.

The extra pace will help our attack IMO, balls are popping on occasion so batting will be near impossible

Actually not the worst over from White. Not great either, but one tends to expect the worst.
Man, your expectations must've been low. Admittedly Ganguly got a leading edge to the last delivery, but he started with a half-tracker and them followed it up with a non-turning leg break that just sat up and begged to be late-cut.

Why does Watson keep bowling around the wicket to Ganguly? He's so much better to the lefties when he uses that natural angle.

When he had a stint bowling across the left handers (it was Gambhir) yesterday, all he did was get it wide and not even force him to play. I'd rather him doing it this way, at least he has a chance this way.

Would you say the same thing to Johnson going the opposite side against the right handers?

Dravid's shown how to play on this deck. He's gotten himself in and now he looks very good. Sehwag and Gambhir should be looking at this and learning. Great 50.

Need to break this partnership quickly, Clark who we all were expecting to fire on this pitch has looked a bit pale tbh.

He got a massive stride in there. Should've saved him if the umpiring had been consistent.
