Pretty ordinary captaincy at times from Kumble, IMO. Should've given Ganguly or Tendulkar a short burst by now - particulalry considering how ordinary he and Harbhajan have been.
If only Dhoni could get himself some runs, he's soo far superior as a leader, even in the last Test against South Africa you could see the huge difference between his style and Anil's.

100 for Huss, brilliant knock this from Hussey, he is such a good player and the kind of patience and application he has shown in his very first test innings on Indian soil is really amazing, there were doubts over whether Hussey would be as effective as he is in Australia while playing in away test matches especially in the sub-continent, but this brilliant knock should put all those doubts to rest.

Things going south for India. Been impressed with Haddin's perseverence and for him to stick around with Hussey is really a great boost for Australia. Wasn't expecting too much from his this series, but he looks good out there and might have a good series.

Hussey's just impossible to dislodge sometimes. Great measured knock from him and Australia are clearly in the drivers seat with Cameron White to come in next.

Haddin gone, soft dismissal, but very good change of pace there from Sharma.
Sharma has been head and shoulders above the other bowlers - exceptional stuff from the young man

However, the response he's got from the track bodes well for a guy like Clark - bit of movement, uneven bounce and his accuracy could make him a real handful

In both the leadup and during this test, Kumble has been reacting like a guy under pressure - snapping at umps/the media and adopting ultra conservative tactics

Kumble and Harbhajan are finished as a potent force in Indian cricket. Unfortunately, we refuse to accept that fact in India. They have been finished for close to three years now but the odd performance here and there is enough for us to hail them as our trump cards.

Here is what they have, together, done in the last three calendar years for India.

Code:
[B]YEAR	WKTS	AVG	St. Rt.[/B]
2006	76	38.3	73.7
2007	62	33.0	64.1
2008	66	39.0	77.2
The figures for 2008 do not include their figures for today. Kumble did better in the first two of those two years and Harbhajan after ,the most horrendous couple of years in 2006 and 2007, which would have seen the end of most careers (32 wkts in 13 Tests at 50.2 each) has had a bit of a comeback this year.

Kumble should surely go and Harbhajan must no longer be a certainty for our Test sides. We need to blood our younger spinners, Mishra, Ojha and Chawla from this season.

Hate to keep blowing my own trumpet but called it re: Sharma. Hope Lee and Johnson can stick around, Mitch should be batting above Lee though, bloody hell.

Lee has enough good innings in the bank though... it's a bit like Warne batting above Lee towards the end of his career.
