***Official*** Australia in India

Jeez I love watching Clarke bat - poetry in motion.

Have to say, without wanting to start another round of T20 vs ODI debate, this innings so far has had everything that makes me think ODIs are far superior to T20 - momentum shifts, players having to adjust their plan and batting style, consolidation then acceleration.
Was thinking of posting the exact same thing but couldn't be bothered with another debate.

CLARKE!!!! Great 100 - leader's innings just when Australia really needed it! :notworthy:

Shame Haddin lost his head a bit last over...

damn bad time to lose a wicket..but very solid knock from Haddin..but like the knocks he did in KL... now go Hopes show em what ur capable of lol.. not a specialist bowler...

Geez, Awful bowling from Powar here - really punching above his weight division, which for him, is quite a task.

Gun innings from Clarke, his highest ODI score. Such an under-rated batsman in limited overs cricket. Hopes giving it a bit of a tonk too, shame that India's bowlers couldn't capitalise on Sreesanth's good start.

:D:D Clarke is such a champion, fantastic century. I entirely agree with Matt79 in regards to him being the most underrated ODI batsmen. Everyone always talks about Symonds, Haydos & Gilly's importance, but imo Clarke is our best ODI bat after Ponting & Hussey, and he's closing fast.

Yep, he and Sarwan. Can't split them.
Before his six sixes, probably Yuvraj would be there too, he has been extremely consistant over the last three years, averaging over 45 in each.
Agree with these assessments. Clarke and Sarwan are absolute guns, while Yuvraj doesn't have the record, he deserves to be bracketed in that category. The three future leaders of ODI batting IMO, along with some others like AB de Villiers and Ross Taylor.

Damn, shame Clarke was run out at the end - he deserved a NO for that innings.

Hopes actually played a nice little Watto style cameo there at the end.

307 is a good score, but on that outfield, with India's batting not enough to be too confident.

I daresay, even with Hopes in the attack, and Gilly captaining, that this total will be safe. ;)

I'd be very, very suprised if they got close tbh. What's with the cheesy music here btw? Along with the grainy images it's like the 80s all over again.

Two wickets in two balls at the end, shame that Clarke ended up running himself out, though it was a true sign of a team player.

Enough of the Hopes bagging, he's gun, clearly better than any other fit allround options we have atm.
