I don't think the Indians' approach this morning is a wise one. Shouldn't they be trying to score when the ball is new and easier to score runs from rather when it will reverse swing and spin. They have kept their wickets though.
They have done just the right thing. Settled down in the morning (11 runs in 11 overs) and then opened up with a flurry of shots off both spin and pace (37 runs in next 6 overs).

Australia need to break up this pair. Its looking ominous ...cross your toes :)

Amazing how the commentators are talking abt Sehwag that he is maturing into an opener, it seemed like its his debut...this guy got a triple for christ sake as an opener

He's letting loose now, and is on 90. Hopefully he can get those 10 runs and then kick on from there.

seriously how long will it take gilly to use his brain and bowl lehmann?
everyone knows that when things are not going your way, you try something different, instead of bowling the same 4 bowlers over and over again. the pitch is obviously offering something for the spinners, every wicket in the match so far has been taken by a spinner....jeez lets bowl kaspa and mcgrath in tandem.

Early on he was, but when he teamed with Imran Khan for a big partnership in Sydney (they both scored centuries) he came of age. Pathan reminds me of him then.
actually he got into even more of a slogger after that......whatever it was, he didnt focus enough on his batting and ended up being a case for unfulfilled potential.

Disappointing that Pathan got out for only 14, though the work of Night Watchman, the most negative aspect of Test cricket, was done well.
