Test side, or an English team that only depends on two players,
Yeah, come again sunshine. Why all this despair from the indian fans??? You're losing to australia for god's sake, we've had this for almost 20 years. I know there was a lot of expectation but a lot was media orientated. If you lose to SA and continue then begin to ask questions but i wouldn't at losing to a very formidable (as always) aussie team.

How come people like Chopra get dropped after one match when Patel keeps dropping catches and gets selected automatically?

 Another one wanting Parthiv's head. Can you tell us what has Chopra done as an opener, Even Parthiv has better better than him ? If not for his wicket keeping skills, Parthiv can replace Chopra as a batsman on any given day at any batting position whereas Chopra will have a tough time replcing Parthiv even on his best day.

Oh, so the Third Test is now the umpires as well?

Jesus, can you people not accept you're being outplayed by a better team?
Calm down and try some Yoga. :) Everyone has a right to express their opinions and even offer excuses. I think you have a personal problem with accepting that maybe India is good enough but going through a rough patch, for a variety of reasons, including the ineptness of the BCCI.

Surely they know what they are doing...thats why they become selectors

And also a problem with the team, but we'll gloss over that.
You are the one who has a problem with anyone offering any opinion that is even remotely sympathetic to the Indian cricket team  :)

I do have that.

I also understand when a team is being outplayed, and how that negates any supposed problem when the scores are so far apart.
You better hope India has a competitive cricket team otherwise you can kiss cricket goodbye. Over 70% of the money in cricket comes from Indian sponsors right now - or haven't you noticed how all the Aussie cricketrs have flocked to Indian companies for endorsements? And how they are associated with the various cricket development clinics in India? Oh, and Brett Lee calls India his second home.

So if you **** on Indian cricket too much, soon, you wan't be watching it on TV :) And if you don't have a place to rant and rave about Indians supporting their team what will you be doing ? :)

Relax guys.

Everyone knows India is a better team than they have shown in this test (even the series really) and ALSO that their inconsistency increases the gap between them and Australia than all of us thought six months ago.

Its nothing more and nothing less.

Surely all of us Indian fans are disappointed (I am shattered really) but this is not the fault of the Indian supporters so whymake this and take this as so personal.

Similarly for the Ausie fans, this is the same Indian side , more or less, that were considered GODS , on sub continental wickets, so dont just start writing their epitaphs just yet. If you are cricket lovers first and last (and I have no doubt you are) surely you are also disappointed at India's performance and hope they will play to their true potential which is clearly (and you know it too) not THIS !!

As the departed and lamented would say, STAY KOOL. :D

To angry, upset and disappointed Indian Fans !!!

Guys (and gals [esp genelia]) You shouldn't take it so heard. India in this series suffered from Injuries to their key players, SRT for first two, Harbhajan, Pathan and Ganguly for this Test.

While its no point looking for excuses, A fully fit Indian Team would have done much much better (particularly with a fully fit SRT ) and quite possibly have levelled the series and held the advantage by now, IMO.

Weather also seemed to work against India.

I don't think there is any doubt that India is the closest Team to Australia, ATM.

How close they get depends on injuries at a given time. This was amply demonstrated in the Australian series, when India nearly won the series and held the initiative thru most of the Test series , when Australia without McGrath and Warne, struggled to contain the strong Indian batting in full flow.

This game is full of so many uncertainties and weather and Injuries are some of the factors that contribute to this uncertainty. (along with umpiring :D as Just Tool would argue and Many would agree with).

I guess you are  :)

In the last 5 years which country has the best Test record against Australia ? Hint: It's definitely not England :p
and that proves that india are improving abroad how?
you might wanna look at indias oh so brilliant record outside the sub continent in the last 5 years(or the last 15), and compare it to the rest of the teams......

we have won 2 series(including the bangladesh one of test  )drawn 3 of them(the draws include Aus and Eng) and lost to other 4 and among them is the NZ series which was famous for the pitches.even though we dont have a great record away from home how many teams have a better record 8-)

because b'desh and pakistan are outside the sub continent 8-). regardless, the fact that you have to look at b'desh shows how desperate your claim really is.
and how many teams have been incapable of winning in zimbabwe in the last 5 years?

so if dont take subcontinent into consideration for india

u should not take into consideration ENG,NZ,SA,ZIM,AUS when takeing into account one of the teams as all these countries have simillar pitches :p

2 things
1) everyone knows that the pitches in england and NZ arent similar to the wickets in aus and Sa, its bounce vs seam and swing
2) even if you did that, youd find that england have won in pakistan,SL and the WI, so well done sherlock.
