Head is not gonna play most of the T20s in the lead up to the WC, and yet be included in the final squad, and out of nowhere play match winning innings in the knockouts.
Seriously doubt that Head is thinking that wayHead is there because he wants a bigger ipl paycheck. he will get one without doubt but a big performance in this series may double his future contract, ipl owners have a hard on for Australian players, those who perform against India and those who have performed in recent series
arent you the one who said Healy would pull out of the WPL because of the low contract she got despite making millions and then she proceeded to play fully anywaySeriously doubt that Head is thinking that way
Guy already makes millions and seems pretty laid back
Selectors asked him to play & he was happy to do so plus he’s partial to a few Kingfishers
Not everything is about IndiaHead is there because he wants a bigger ipl paycheck
he was there because he was told to because… it was India? Not everything is about India
He's probably not going to even end up playing a game. He's there because he was told to be
Fair enough. Point remains it was probably nothing to do with the IPLhe was there because he was told to because… it was India?
kinda defeats your own point
Tbf he has been very drunkHead probably just loves India.
Its not his fault she had something to drink during that dinner meeting.arent you the one who said Healy would pull out of the WPL because of the low contract she got despite making millions and then she proceeded to play fully anyway
And her husband pulls out of the IPL every year and yet can somehow afford to buy a $25 million house in Sydneyarent you the one who said Healy would pull out of the WPL because of the low contract she got despite making millions and then she proceeded to play fully anyway
He plays in the IPL and that's it? He didn't even play the BBL at all until CA forced him to last summer during the captaincy hearing hodgepodge. While intellectually I do understand where Warner is coming from complaining about the schedule and exhaustion, it's hard to sympathise with him when he's happy to play in every random T20 franchise comp under the sun. It's not as if large CA contract + sponsorships/marketing + marquee IPL contract isn't oodles of money.
Plays CPL, BPL for sure, and I think a few others. Was also heavily linked with that UAE league a few summers backHe plays in the IPL and that's it? He didn't even play the BBL at all until CA forced him to last summer during the captaincy hearing hodgepodge.
Yeah ultimately if I had to guess I would say he's actually in the same bucket as Smith, wanting to cement a spot for the next WC. As strange as it may sound given how he's batted in the last 18 months and the manner of his run scoring, plus his BBL exploits, he hasn't actually been part of Aus's T20 plans until recently. Didn't play in either of the last two WCs for example.I mean, was Head even given a choice? And maybe he does want to maximize his chances of both representing his country (in T20Is where he has not been a regular) AND his potential earning opportunities as obviously he is a very hot commodity right now and the IPL auction is in another 20 days. What is wrong if he felt there was more than 1 reason to play this series?
Wait are you talking about him complaining about exhaustion a few years ago or now? He's not played any t20 leagues outside the IPL for ages (aside from bbl, which, like I said, CA twisted his hand on) despite being man of the series in the UAE t20 WC and being one of the best white ball openers in the world. If he wanted to **** off and make a few extra mil a year playing franchise cricket ALA Munro he definitely could.Plays CPL, BPL for sure, and I think a few others. Heads been horrible in the bbl over the past 2/3 years hasn't he? That 90 odd he made vs SA earlier in the year was the first time he's made runs in the format for ages (barely plays, mind you).Yeah ultimately if I had to guess I would say he's actually in the same bucket as Smith, wanting to cement a spot for the next WC. I wouldn't take random one-off games too seriously compared to when he was committed to full campaigns with the StrikersHeads been horrible in the bbl over the past 2/3 years hasn't he?
