Yeah picking Boland for his control is all well and good but ultimately you pick bowlers to take poles and idk if Boland was any more likely to do so. He might create pressure at the other end and make Lyon and Murphy's lives a little easier, I suppose.

So looks like Oz might be short an over or two again today, so how many points are docked for 2 slow overs?
I think there can be exemptions for delays of kinds that are unavoidable so it'll come down to other factors. We'll see I guess.

2. Be surprised if they were docked any for yesterday given that the batsmen were taking plenty of breaks between overs as well though; gotta have some leeway for hot conditions. They've been glacial since tea today though.

Well given India completed their overs well in time & Oz employed 3 spinners I doubt that excuse would fly, not to mention we had only 3 wickets lost in the day.
SL are running a bigger risk with losing points for slow over rate.
And so they should, if match referees were more strict/serious about enforcing over rates half of these shens would end overnight!

Travis Head could take notes from that throw btw. Could have had a few run outs yesterday had he not taken an age to release the ball

When the batsman is taking long breaks between overs though then it's a bit odd to punish the fielding side. Pujara in particular took a lot of breaks, and I believe there was an extra drinks break too
