The chat coming out of the India camp that it will be a bouncy wicket is obvious nonsense.

"Hey Australia, pick all your quicks... #rankpitch #rankji"

Well as I mentioned before the last test Warner Lyon and Wade should have stayed in the sheds. Course I got pasted by the experts here, how'd them apples work out?

Pitch looks like a seamy road. Bit like most Mumbai pitches early on that offer nice bounce.

Whatever it takes!!!
But it did turn during the World T20. So definitely its a kind of soil they can get to produce turners. Will be interesting to see what happens or if Thakur does what the VCA did back in Nagpur 2004. I am hopeful Kohli will not pull a Ganguly though. :p

So if it's a flat pitch India is going with the same game plan as the last test. They will try to bat Aus out of the game and hope to score faster or take wickets faster. I'm surprised they are willing to give Aus a good chance of a draw but they must not want to give Cummins or Haze assistance.

I really hope Australia win this. I don't know what India have done, but the pitches have not been what they probably had hoped for. Steve Smith has been the best batsman between the two sides yet again. I'm still expecting India to win this as a loss will dent their confidence later on especially during the champions trophy. Do they have an ODI series after this test series is over? Also, amazed to see India have been playing so many test matches, and yet none of their players have barely got injured or anything. These Indian players barely get a break since the IPL will be coming on soon. In a way, I actually feel sorry for these Indian players especially those that are kept in the bench. I always maintained that the Indian players that are waiting in the ranks should get a chance to play in the main team. You never know as India might have unearthed a player that could change the fortunes of this team. India's fast bowlers have been impressive.
