Wade batting ahead of Maxwell.

1) Maxwell isn't being picked for the first test.
2) Maxwell is being considered as a bowler, rather than a batsman.
3) Ripping piss out of Maxwell re: batting below Wade.

Answers on a postcard.

Found this quote from Ashwin a little concerning too

I’m going to look at the series as a 20-day programme. I will try to get through the 20 days. My injury concerns have been a bit of an issue. It was on the back of my mind in the last two series. Against New Zealand and England I could perform only 60-70 per cent of my potential. I’m trying to get better and put more strength on my body. Sports Hernia is something that can’t be managed easily. It’s been a big challenge for me. It takes a lot of time to warm up these days. For me, trying to phase out the 20 days is very important. I will get there in the most effective manner.

All hell's broken loose. Aussie selectors figured out the right team configuration already! This was supposed to happen after 2-0.

He got injured today unfortunately. He moves the ball a lot but he pretty much runs in faster than he lets it go.

Whatever it takes!!!
No.. its pretty true and he is even batting a bit differently coz of it. Its like Sachin's tennis elbow... Not something that will stop you from playing but can limit you a bit in a few of the things. Sometimes they work out well coz you end up sticking to your basics a lot.

And yes, the side Haddin listed is basically the side they should go with and it looks like, they will. We are losing this series now, aren't we? :(

And from looking at the pitch today, it seemed like a typical green Ranji pitch. Nothing like the tired, crumbling pitches that Shri promised.

**** you Shri.

I'm not convinced. I'd play both SMarsh and Khawaja in Top 6. I don't like 'all-rounders' unless they're actually decent. Still, whoever they pick, all the best. Just be nice to see some fight and resilient batting.

It all makes sense now. Offer lush green pitches as the practice pitch and have your openers and middle order batsmen, trundlers, Pandya etc bowl on them making Aus think, 'hmm, this is not so bad', and then catch them with their pants down on a raging turner during the actual series. Good troll.

I'd pick Swepson as a specialist batsman before Khawaja

He's talking about 60 - 70% of his brain here, still miles in front of any human.

Just needs some more brain force in his food to heal, can still beat Australia at these depleted levels.

eugh put Maxwell in **** Mitch Marsh. yeah he smashed a few 30s in the SL series big whoop. His test stats are a bloody joke. So unfair on Big Show who has proved he's a far better batsman than Marsh
