The Wheel is Forever
India win in India and they use those tactics.

As a guess, I'd say the team that has won the most in India is India..
Well Dhoni uses those tactics, for sure. Much more often than other captains did. Part of it being that the other teams keep falling for it - I doubt India would. But maybe worth a try - see what happens.

The point is that it's a win win situation in this case. You're not necessarily going to get a wicket, but you stop the flow of runs for a while which may lead to a wicket later on. Of course it takes some disciplined bowling which...

Well at least it's got some vague basis in fact. Ponting basically went with 8 boundary riders right from the first over in 2008 and they still got pasted.

International Coach
Smith actually looks like he could pose a few problems if he starts landing them properly...
Smith is genuine talent with the ball, unfortunately leg spin is a merciless art and without 100% commitment to it its next to impossible to attain any consistency at bowling wrist spin, you need a lot of bowling under your belt to get wrist spin right, unfortunately Smith doesn't have that right now.

Could have saved countless runs by putting in a deep cover and moving 3rd man squarer
Need discpline in bowling to even bowl to a defensive field which is something this attack doesn't have, if you look around at the squad it makes you wonder whether they picked this team actually with any intention of winning this series, or were they just picking this squad with an eye on the 2017 tour....

Yeah because what I suggested was exactly putting everyone on the boundary. Bam you got it nailed.

It's slightly depressing knowing he's never going to top this.

Ridiculous knock, nevertheless. Particularly in the context of time and consequently, India's hope running out in the game

ive missed the entire days play besides the last hour, but from what ive seen it seems to be the exact same situation as the p00ntang-****** partnership last test

God Doherty bowls ****

Mind you, not sure what else they expected from a guy who took 2 wickets @ 80 in the domestic season

Phil Hughes must field with his eyes closed. He surely needs to take a lesson from the opposition if he doesn't from his own team mates.

It's what probably has to happen with our quicks but our spinners just keep on getting taken over the top, until the field goes back and then the Indians take four an over a la one day cricket. Obviously you're alluding to that too, but India can afford to do that with their pace bowlers because their spinners are the threat.
