Didn't think it would make that much of a difference though. He's on a golden run at the top of the order so it would be silly to suggest him moving down the order. But as soon as he goes a few test matches with average scores I would move him down. Would much rather prefer his bowling.
Suggest his last over might be it for him this innings. It's worth a shot while he's opening to just throw him a few overs and see how he feels but yeah as soon as he moves down the order a bit, give him a few more.

Can see him as OZ' long-term number 3 once Ponting gives it away so he probably won't bowl that much more.

Gosh we are bowling like trash today, just what I was fearful of, barring 04 every other tour to India we have bowled pretty bad since 1996. At least make em work harder.

While I agree we haven't bowled great, the wicket is a road, so it makes the bowling seem worse.

Blows my theory.

Tough session for Ponting. He has at his disposal a young nervous quickie, a spinner who's getting smashed and an all-rounder who'll have to face the new-ball. Really only has two main bowlers.

It emphasises how important Bollinger is to the team now.

George reminds me of Tremlett - ridiculously tall medium pacer with uncertain body language.

In the 98, 04 & 08 Bangalore tests, their was some nice reverse-swing for Kasper (twice), Khan, McGrath, Gillespie. So hopefullly that starts happening soon & Hilfy & Watson can thus become a serious threat on this wicket.

I made a post after the last test saying we need a strike bowler in the Aussie line up. It's supposedly Johnson but really isn't much of a strike bowler is he? George doesn't look it either who's next to try?

George bowling a much better spell this time around. Could of had Sachin caught before if there was a short leg in place.

That would never have been caught unless the short leg was right next to the pitch. And with George bowling short stuff and Sachin pulling Johnson earlier, that might be dangerous for the fielder.

Unless you were to put North there...hmm
