I think if it's 7 that's missing, then I'd go with Wright, but also Bresnan isn't too bad there. I also reckon they may well give Bell a run in the next three ODIs, he's on pretty good form and has a reasonable ODI record anyway.
Yeah Bell's in the squad and neither Davies or Trott are so it'll be Bell that gets next crack. It was a wishlist rather than anything particularly realistic.

Haha I have an irrational hatred of Yardy as a player in general but there's no way he should be dropped for Rashid based on T20 form of all things (especially given how good Yardy is at T20 bowling himself). He goes at 3.84rpo with the ball across his career which, no matter which way you look at it, is awesome. Even if he couldn't bat to save himself him and had never taken a wicket he'd be a worth a spot for that sort of stuff alone, IMO.

Furthermore I'd rate Trott a better ODI top order bat than both the wicket keepers in that team so playing both of them ahead of him makes little sense to me.

Craig Kieswetter/Steve Davies
Andrew Strauss
Jonathan Trott
Kevin Pietersen
Paul Collingwood
Eoin Morgan
?
Michael Yardy
Graeme Swann
Stuart Broad
James Anderson

Don't really know who to slot in there at seven. Should be a big hitting seam-bowling allrounder really.. don't want Wright, Bresnan or Shahzad and I don't think there's a lot else to choose from. Could just stick in the next best quick bowler and move everyone up one, but Yardy doesn't really have the game to be a #7 unless there's a collapse (and even then he wouldn't be particularly good at it) and perhaps more pertinently, I don't know who that'd be either.
World Cup is in the Subcontinent, Trott is dire against spin, picking him to bat 3 would not be a wise selection for me. Kieswetter and Bell are much better players of spin. Davies has been arguably the best OD player in England in the last 3 years, bout time he's given a go. Looks a much better player of spin than Trott too. I really don't want to see Strauss and Trott batting together in ODi's again anytime soon. Davies and Kieswetter should be our ODi and T20i opening pair AFAIC.

As for Yardy. I actually like him as a player, think he's pretty under-rated, but I'm just not sure he's International class. Maybe dropping him now would be a tad harsh, and he should be given a longer go to prove his worth, but I'm not 100% convinced he's International class with either bat or ball.

Hussey on. Looks like Watto's decided to completely take a rest from bowling in the final three matches of the series.

Hussey bowling. Presumably Watto's injured since he hasn't bowled since game 2. Anyone know what's the matter?

Edit Unless Australia are behind the over rate of course. :P

Brumby the typo in your signature has been annoying me for weeks now. Sort it out.

I also propose you are DQ'd from BOTM for this, whoever your last opponent was should take your place.

The annoying thing is, Wright's outbowled Bresnan in this series and Bresnan has outbatted Wright. And not in the good way.
Yeah, I know. I'm not sure who else we could put there though. Unless we ditch Yardy for Rashid and try him at seven, and then jig the other bowlers around.

Tears all gone now? :p

Don't think it would've gone too much better but honestly don't see why a fill-in was needed at all; all five bowlers have gone well.
Comms speculating Tait can't handle a whole ten.

Has Dougeh changed syrups today, btw? Looks shorter and neater.
