I'd guess what you can say is you can probably afford to have a weakish number 6 like Luke Wright if you've got Yardy, Swann, Broad at 8,9,10.

In about two runs time I predict that a certain poster will mention a certain batsman's nationality

Yardy last 3 seasons -

2008 (England) 10 9 0 294 54 32.66 0 3 5
2009 (England) 18 15 2 515 92* 39.61 0 5 7
2010 (England) 1 1 0 36 36 36.00 0 0 0

Not overtly impressive but has been better than his career average of 22.
Yea, I'd imagine his T20 batting record (particularly strike rate) has improved a lot this season too along with the List A stuff.

:D Eoin Morgan what a player. This lad is one of the best ODi batsmen in the world right now. He's scoring runs in pressure situations, all around the world against the best sides in the world. Fantastic innings. Has to be one of the best ODi knocks I've seen for years, well, bar Tendulkar's obviously, but that's just on another level.

Well done England, well done Ireland, and as ever the sour grapes making it all the sweeter:laugh:

Important that Morgan got the ton, will stop Wright getting MOTM.....

International 12th Man
Morgan has now played 20 ODIs for England and averages 55.75 at a strike rate of 91.39. Pretty damn impressive.

We've got to be odds-on favourites for the WC tbh

Also worth noting that we've now beaten the Aussies in our last meeting in each form of the game

Haha Social, just give it a rest. You're becoming a paradoy of yourself.
It's "parody" btw

You do realise that until Oz lost 8 front line bowlers that the best bowler of tonight's game couldnt get a game for his state so he moved towns last year

The point's sort of irrelevant, it's just so predictable that you'll just come up with any excuse under the sun to try and deny that England might have actually played well. Ever.

Top order wasn't that great today, Collingwood was a bit scratchy again, but its not so long ago he was in great form in ODI's. Wright and Bresnan did decent jobs coming in with us in slight problems.
