Well you bowling to a guy who has just said you should not play and you are trying to impress the selectors, I think it is fair enough, besdies A.L. absolutly loves the rough stuff.
It really isn't that smart by Tait. It may have done his chances some good, but what if he had of knocked Langer out or broken his hand? I'm sure nobody in the squad would be happy with that, apart from Hodge.

It looked a proper solid blow on the 1 o'clock news too.

Langer looked peeved as if it was a dodgy delivery but only saw it strike him, will do wonders for team spirit. :D
The reason Langer looked peeved was that Tait was in fact bowling at an unguarded set of stumps three nets to his right.

So does that mean taits definantly in the squad? Seems like a bit of dodgey journalism to me.
They would not write an article like that in the SMH unless a selector had told the journo that tait was in. Nowhere does it mention he 'may make his debut' and the like, it is treated as fact. I for one am excited at the prospect.

So am i. And this means that tait also has finally been given the oppurtunity to be clocked in a cricket game.....

Speeds anyone?

I'm predicting low to mid 90's MPH

Whatever it takes!!!
This is great build up to this test. And for once, the confusion about the team is from the Australia camp, not England's... This has to be a first.

As much as I like Kaspa, I reckon Tait is awesome. Furthermore, there's nothing like watching a young quick on debut. Some of the best cricket on Australian TV in the last couple of summers, has been Tait in the ING Cup. Some of his spells have been electrifying.
