Kasprowicz hasn't been that bad, but his form has been far from good throughout the tour. He got absolutely belted in the early tour matches and in the first couple of ODIs, and was dropped for the remainder of the ODI series. He did a little better in the tour matches since, and was pretty good in the first innings of the second test, but he's not exactly been setting the world alight.cameeel said:What has Kasprowicz done wrong, as soon as people start talking about the possiblilty of Gillespie being dropped, they start nominating Tait as the man to replace him, as far as i can tell Kaspa's done nothing wrong
Langer captain (west aussie)..... Macgill used to be West aussie but moved to NSW......... Maybe that has something to do with itandyc said:Geez, 33 overs and MacGill hasn't had a ball. He must be feeling a bit useless. You'd have thought they could have rested either Lee or McGrath.
Well, the WACA is hardly a good hunting ground for spinners. Don't be surprised if Casson moves to the Blues soon, either.King_Ponting said:Langer captain (west aussie)..... Macgill used to be West aussie but moved to NSW......... Maybe that has something to do with it
They may have thought that Gilly needed a decent break after looking a little shaky with the gloves in the last test. I don't think it's that bad a decision. Making runs against Northamptonshire probably wouldn't say much of anything about his form with the bat, given that his problems up to this point are fairly specific to Flintoff.andyc said:I'm surprised Gilly isn't playing, at least as a specialist batsman. Langer's been in decent touch (despite his second ball dismissal), surely they could have taken him out for Gilly.
So why is he in the XII ?FaaipDeOiad said:Maybe Langer doesn't like him?
No, I think the reason is that Macgill has been released from play to go and appear for Somerset in a few games, so he's not currently in the Australian touring party and probably isn't at the ground.
