They are going for the win !!!!
No they aren't.

They couldn't win it anyway, best thing that could happen is Australia slog 30 or 40 in a few overs and Vaughan puts the field back. Means the game would probably end as a draw of course, but it's not worth the risk of losing a wicket.

The match or the series? Because there's virtually no way they are going to win this match.
The match and if they win this match, the series as well. Couple of more 4s and the RR will be under 6.

Anyone that thinks they are not going for the win is clearly not an Aussie.
How can they possibly win it? It's ridiculous... it's a test match, there's no fielding restrictions. If they did win it obviously I'd be thrilled, but it's not going to happen, and I can see Australia getting within 60 or 70 then throwing a wicket away, so the idea of going for the win somewhat worries me.

I also think it is crazy , but this is the ashes.

I should add, this is the third heroic batting effort in a row for Warne. Remember his suicide slog in the first innings at Edgbaston? Boy has he made up for that. :p

It may well be that this is precisely the idea (fooling Vaughan into putting the field back), and yes, it will look really silly if one of them gets out doing it.
