Rain, I assume? Can only be good for Australia, I guess. Increases pressure on Vaughan to go with the follow-on, and increases the chance of a draw outright if he doesn't. Will need to be a lot of rain though... at least one full day and a fair chunk of another.

I was thinking yesterday that these matches need a bit of time taking out of them because they've taken on a breakneck speed I've never seen before in test cricket.

I didn't mean when England were ON TOP - I meant let us win this match then let it rain for a month because goodness me, the farmers need it (nothing to do with any selfish desire to see England win the Ashes by any means possible).

we're at the top of the rain band, it certainly look as though it should clear Manchester within the hour and there's not a lot behind it
