Hayden's making a real habit of getting these starts that look OK, before being dismissed in the 30's or 40's. But, in his defence, on this occasion, it moved a lot, and at least he wasn't marching down the pitch or trying to hoik one that wasn't really short enough.

None of the pace bowlers apart from Flintoff have really managed any measure of consistency whatsoever in this game, gifting Australia quite a few runs at the moment. I reiterate that Martyn is looking very impressive.

It was a very good ball that drew him into a shot, he perhaps should have been defending rather an attacking it, but that's about the only thing you can fault Hayden on.
