Damn Slater beat me to it, but I was just about to post how Lee's going for reverse. It'll be interesting to see if Australia still want to swap the ball if he continues to get that shape. Not suprising, though, when the ball gets heavier and wet, much more likely to dip back in.

50 stand up. One over too many for Gillespie imo. Can't take Lee off now if there's a chance of some reverse. 23 minutes left until the extra half hour is done, and still 16 overs to go.

Well-deserved wicket indeed; good knock from Jones though. This Warne/KP battle is going to be interesting to watch throughout the series.

Well done Giles, hit wicket and a useless prod down the leg side that was only going to get you out. Now that truly was a spineless dismissal.

Great catch from Gilchrist... boy does Giles have a problem with the short ball or what? He's just all over the place against it... ducking with his gloves in front of his face, hanging his bat at it, and now stepping onto his own wicket in an attempt to get out of the way. Supurb two overs from Lee to finish a good day, and Australia will probably start with McGrath and Warne will probably start tomorrow with Australia looking to be batting by drinks.

Was that hit wicket or caught? Last-ball wicket gives Australia the upper hand after a fascinating day. Hopefully the rest of the series is just as engaging. :)

The Aussies were still in one day mode...funny thing is even Langer joined in and he's supposed to be a Test specialist...slogging the third ball of the day.

Superb bowling allround though. Especially McGrath...in that spell after tea it got to a stage where I was more surprised if a wicket didn't fall. Three batsmen clean bowled with that unbelievable top-of-off line of his.

Crzay Giles...he's got the brains of a wheelie bin, apparently.

Can't help but think Australia have had a big advantage from winning the toss (and batting first), the pitch still had movement in it but the bounce was pretty reliable when Australia batted. Since tea the bounce has been erratic to say the least, accounting for at least 2 of the England batsmen.

hit wicket.
and do you honestly beleive that at 92/6 england were actually even with australia on a wicket which is only going to get worse to bat on?
id be extremely surprised if pietersen doesnt go into ODI mode tomorrow morning, and hopefully we can get within 20-30 runs of australia, and even then we're going to get destroyed.
