Yeah, I think viewers in Australia watching on free-to-air are gonna have to put up with missing a fair slice of the middle session, due to SBS coverage of the Tour de France... :(

I'm just happy it's on Free-to-air at all.

6 hours until it begins. cricinfo is saying that the probable Australian bowling attack is McGrath, Lee and Gillespie, which is a bit different from what Sky News is saying, as they seem to think Gillespie will be left out as an injury scare and Kasprowicz will be the third seamer. Right now, I'm hoping Sky is right.

It's suggested at this point by Ponting that a decision will be made at the toss, as to which bowlers make the final cut.

The fact that they're waiting so late to name the side in the face of Gillespie's injury scare (and Ponting's comments about Gillespie's condition) says that they must be favoring Gillespie over Kasper at this point, and want to give him every chance to prove his fitness. I hope they go with Kasper as well.

Which is why I have my Foxtel insurance policy (as well as beer, chips, nodoze, etc) :D
If only... My wife's correctly identified Foxtel as a money (let alone time) pit, and has vetoed it as an unnecessary expense...

Foxtel showing two hours of highlights from the 1997 Lords test before the Ashes starts. I'd almost forgotten how brilliantly McGrath bowled in that game.

I've an idea, why don't they play 4 seamers and leave out Warne?

Or they could play both Gillespie and Kaspa and leave out McGrath?

Works for me :D

The roads are completely jammed up ue to some Trinamool Congress meeting and a lot of processions all round the city.

So I have returned half way from the way to work lucky that I will be able to see the first day. :)
