Yes the 08 series played after GF's NZ series start point.India was already mentioned unless you're going back to 2008 and we were talking about bilateral series.
Didn't realize we had any kind of starting point, not sure what's with the roll eyes thoughYes the 08 series played after GF's NZ series start point.
It is.I love how not winning a global tournament is considered losing.
Well I wouldn't consider Stoke not winning the Premier League as them "losing" it. I'd consider losing to be a thing between two sides, not a whole tournament. It is.
The fact you don't consider it so is illustrative as to why you're happy to tolerate mediocrity. it's like Billy Sneddon after the 1974 election - "We didn't lose. We just didn't win enough seats to win".
The Premier League is an aggregate competition though. First past the post - a bit like the rankings system in some respects.Well I wouldn't consider Stoke not winning the Premier League as them "losing" it. I'd consider losing to be a thing between two sides, not a whole tournament.
Watson would be shocking at 4. His weakness is working around singles with the field back, which is precisely what needs to happen at 4. Clarke is our best batsman (Mussey excepted) but he needs time to get set - he needs to bat higher if anything. Dussey's technique will be deeply fraught against two moving new balls.Good post, concise and conclusive.
That is exactly our best line up atm. The only debatable point is whether you'd bat Watson at 3, 4 or open.
Wade should open or bat at 3. Watson at either 3 or 4, Dussey the other. Dussey needs time to build an innings and have the others bat around him.
Clarke is right at 5, and Bailey is right at 6.
Mike Hussey finishes at seven, with Smith's unorthodox hitting at 8.
I guess you just don't read the things you quote?Didn't realize we had any kind of starting point, not sure what's with the roll eyes though
I think a couple of post-Ashes thrashings that we've received, combined with being dicked 5-0 in India last year has overshadowed how well England have done in ODI series over the last 4-5 years.
Other than the 3 series I've mentioned, I think the only ODI series we've lost have been our series against New Zealand in 2008.
Like to have a marking contest with you, ****. You might grab the ball but you won't be taking the kick.
Doherty doesnt have a bad record but he is simply not one of Oz's best 5 bowling options in virtually any conditions so I dont really see the pointBefore this match I named my XI and it didn't feature Forrest or Doherty. They are plainly not up to Australian ODI standards. Get rid of both!
