***Official*** Australia in England 2012

I think England are continuing our trend of not having any bowler get really carted, with just steady performances. Well ever since we dropped Dernbach obviously. Seems to be working.

Of course there's been no opportunity to say how much we miss KP yet, but you watch as soon as we do lose one.
We do miss KP and would be a better side in both one day formats with him in, I'll get it in early.

I used to get excited when we beat Australia but now it's like a Burgey birthday, there've been so many that it's hard to distinguish one from another
You have won 2 of the last 10 ODIs

Congrats, you guys are on the up and up

It's all right guys, we've got a reasonable standard club umpire from the northern hemisphere here to talk us through the nuances of the DRS.
Same old story mate. Too many Victorians in the side.

David Lloyd - "How's Michael Clarke going to play this?"

67 off 47 required. He'll play for a draw, dickwad. What do you think?

Quality stuff this it must be said.

Four more wins against this shower and we're number one in all three formats according to the good folk of cricinfo. Sounds easy enough.

Bopara needs to go & soon frankly - it's an embarrassment that he comes out at four.
If they're after a batsman who can send down a couple of overs if need be, Luke Wright as improved massively this past 12 months. I know he was a bit of a joke figure to most be he hasn't half sorted himself out, looks a proper batsman every time I watch him bat recently.

To be fair, he got 59 in a T20 5 days or so ago against the likes of Fidel Edwards, Ravi Rampaul, super-spinner Narine and secret weapon Samuels............
Only talking about 50 over cricket, point was we've not needed rescuing recently.

Hmmm, Sky were supposed to be showing the highlights on Sky Sports 2 at 8 pm - and when I went to their website to find out why they weren't - having been out since 3 - I got the result. Cheers, lads.

Advertised to start at 10 on my box.

Yes just catching up with the highlights now. Seems Cook and Bell were very much the right kind of batsmen to open up in today's bowling conditions and battled their way through to a decent start. Bell played some typically sumptuous drives, but was caught plumb by what looked like a very impressive Brett Lee.

Haven't seen him bat, so can't judge, but would be wary of going down that route again - always struck me as the embodiment of the words "bits & pieces". I'd jump a generation frankly.

Yes I would still have serious reservations about going back down the Luke Wright route, especially at international level. Don't think he has enough quality in either discipline to force his way into this England side or edge ahead of some of the exciting young talent we have on the fringes,
