***Official*** Australia in England 2012

There's a video on YouTube that's been taken from one of the Barmy Army in Sydney of Johnson getting abused as he walks out to bat, before he lasts all of one ball. KP is fielding on the boundary and is quite clearly conducting the choir; you don't do that if you're scared of an opposition player. There's not a chance KP would have acted like that if it had been a song about Glenn McGrath bowling ****e.
Excellent stuff!

That's made me want to get my series DVD out and watch it all again. The wife's out tonight so why not?

The atmosphere during that little episode on that fourth evening was incredible. 10,000+ England fans giving it the "oooohhhhh...." crescendo as Tremlett (?) ran in, before MJ's stumps scattered.

Yes, Mitch, we're bricking it.

Probably not a great idea to listen to that switch hit podcast thingy if your name is scaly, Dobell's manlove for Bopara out in full force.

Even if that did get to him (and I reckon it gets to players a lot more than we realise, tbh) there's no way he should come out and say it. That's just outrageously stupid. They'll make sure they give him absolutely heaps every time he bowls in front of them now.
You would think someone who's been in the public eye as long as him would know better, wouldn't you?

I also had to laugh at his "it's because they're scared of me" reasoning.

Which is probably why KP shouldn't be conducting the choir.

These comments are most probably the reason he didn't feature in the last few games and frankly speaking if comments like these don't convince the selectors that this guy is a joke and colossal waste of money and time then nothing else would.

Surely Mitch is barred from ever representing Australia ever again? That is so ****ing soft. Jeez.

Yeah pretty much agree with PEWS here. Don't really care that it might have affected him, but to actually say it the media.....and why the **** was he sent out to do a press conference anyway. not as if he'd done anything to deserve one

The better question is that why at all was he picked again in the Australian side after all that he has done? He is the same guy who admitted that the harsh things said by his ''mommy'' hurt and distracted him so this really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

we are the laughing stock of the cricket world. does anyone in the team have any pride? All i hear is nice words over and over and over again. And i'm so sick of this "on his day" rubbish. Surely everyone knows Mitch's *day* is followed by 200 days of dross before the next magical *day*.
