Do you do anything on this forum other than bait Australians with pointless rubbish?
Not really Faaaap ..... I have to get it out my system somehow, I hate you guys :)

That ok with you?

Ive checked the forum guidelines and it doesnt seem Im doing anything illegal

Perhaps if I made a couple of underarm posts which trangressed the very spirit of the game and then delayed any replies to manipulate my post rate to knock an innocent poster out of the boards and then scooped my post off the ground claiming that I never dropped the legside post in teh 1st place while demanding no NZ moderators ever gave me out lbw in my own thread you might have a case

4 players Steve Waugh said would play regular Test cricket early in their careers Brett Lee,Shaun Tait,Shane Watson and....Shaun Marsh. He said his century against NSW was the best innings hes ever seen by a teenager
I alluded to him earlier. He's also (interestingly, seeing his father was the Australian coach) he's supposed to be the second dumbest person to go through the Academy in recent times. Cosgrove had him covered, from all reports.

Some odd choices there, really. Katich is only 29... why is he going to retire in 18 months?

If we're going by the assumption (and it's not a certain one at all) that all of Hayden, Langer, Martyn, Gilchrist, McGrath, Warne and Kasprowicz will be gone after the WC, I'd look at something like this:

Phil Jaques
Michael Hussey
Ricky Ponting (c)
Simon Katich
Michael Clarke
Shane Watson
Brad Haddin (k)
Brett Lee
Johnson//Bracken/someone else
Dan Cullen
Shaun Tait

.
Spot on. If Johnson comes through, that would be a really decent team.

The first post asked for a U25 side, so its pretty much a U25 side with Ponting and Lee. Also if Katich and Hussey lose form quickly then you would think they would be dropped for a up and coming player like Cullum Ferguson.

Note: im sure on or two of the guys i picked are over 25, not just Ponting and Lee

England and NZ (only if they have Bond) to dominant the next era of world cricket. No aussie batsman will ever "walk" and they will start claiming catches they scooped off the ground again
THAT'S A GOOD ONE!!

Johnson/Lee/Tait.

Some days you may well roll a team for 100, but there's going to be a lot of days where you find the side chasing 400 after the first day.

word, but if they can become accurate a la the 4-prong the windies had during their glory years things could be different....

aren't Marsh from Wa & Phillipson/Simpson (not sure whcih one is from quennsland) better young batsmen than him?

And if I never got out, I'd be in London right now. Your point?

that even though they aren't the most accurate bowlers because they are really fast, if they can improve their accuracy if they ever come together as a fast-bowling trio for Australia, Vic's scenario of them regularly conceeding 400+ totals after day 1 of a test wouldn't happen. A bit clearer now dawg???

I know what you mean, but bowlers who manage five wides through long leg will never be metronomes, so it's an utterly ludicrous suggestion, akin to "if Harmo batted like Vaughaney he'd be the best all rounder ever".

Totally clear, totally irrelevant.

ahhhh well fair enough, well then Vic's assumption would be totally correct ah well if they do come together i'll be hoping they run through more sides than they would go for 400 in a day :p

All three had pretty good season last year and average over 35, but in terms of potential Ferguson is better then both Phiilipson or Marsh.

I've said it before & i'll say it again, looking at the way Symo has performed in CC this season i really think if he can keep it up in upcoming CC seasons & in the pura cup he could well & find his way in the test side again.

Symonds would only make the test side again as an all-rounder, and as Watson probably better in all departments bar fielding I can't see that happening either.

spinners
Doherty, Cullen - I think Xavier has been marked a bit harshly. He's still only 22 (maybe younger?) bowling on the flattest track in the country that offers no real spin, and very little bounce. He'll mature - spin bowlers tend to do it a little bit later - and will have seasons that are good enough to earn him a spot in some form of Aus colours. We'll still have some people arguing that his FC stats aren't good enough to earn a spot, but they're clouded by the fact that he was given a game very very young, when he probably wasn't ready and wouldn't have gotten a game in another state. Enough has been said about Cullen. I don't know enough about Casson.
What about Jack McNamara? :-O

ya never know marco but has faaipo said it could be unlikely because of Watson's emergence.
