**Official** Australia in Bangladesh

Great game of cricket, top stuff from Bangladesh and good batting by Aus in second innings.

Australia won the match but Bangladesh won the hearts.

Congrats to both both for a good game.

In the end a lucky win for Australia. If Bangladesh had batted well in the second innings and made over 200 they probably would have won.
Superb innings from Ponting, Gilly and Hayden along with magnificent bowling from MacGill won Australia the game.

Even though they can hold their head high, but its the second time they have lost a test match when they should have won, one was against Pak and the other one being the current one.Bangladesh must avail the chances that they get in future.

What an effort by Bangladesh in that test

Australia may have won the test but it's not the Tigers that came out shamed...

I hope that Bangas ARE disappointed and not merely happy that they ran Aus close as they really should have won that test.

A couple of injudicious shots, some average ground fielding, some negative captaincy at times and a pitch that held together better than expected made the difference (along with Ponting obviously).

To give credit where its due, Mortaza really stepped up today and looked a much better bowler than on the previous 4 days.

And what a suprise, they brought another Queenslander in to replace him :@
well they probably went for a sort of similar replacement. I would have gone for White even though their is already 2 spinners in the squad i think he would have been better suited on those slow wickets in BAN if given the chance.

You can't be serious. Why would a selector give a crap where a player's from?

Agreed. They should be dissapointed as they lost a golden chance and this is the second time that has happened.

I don't think Bang will come close to Aussies in the rest of the games, but i hope Bangladesh would put up a good fight and carry on the good work.

At the end of the day Bangladesh blew it. They got close but a win would have meant so much more. They won't gain much from this IMO, even if it does show that there is potential there.

I am disappointed that the MOM award went to Gilly instead of Nafees. This Test would have been a non event if not for his 138 !!

Aussies saved their hides, Bangladeshi's were close. Not surprised though, there is a reason why they're ranked low, I don't think people should be upset that they lost as much as they should be proud that they did show a valiant effort and with more work can become a great test nation. Still...a very long way to go.
