From what i thought was a 60/40 advantage to Oz overnight has just become 80/20 IMO
Yeah 80/20 sounds about right. Still I am hoping for a miracle. How good would it be? It would be huge.

Still think there are a few more twists to come.
i hope not:sleep: , a nice clean run chase with a final score of about307/4 would be very nice after such a headhurting start to this test.

The difficult question is where they should put him, I think.

At the moment it's pretty straightforward, as he can bowl with Lee and Clark, but if and when McGrath returns, there's a selection dilemma, since both McGrath and Lee have to be picked. And of course, Australia don't have any test cricket between now and the Ashes in which to give Clark and Gillespie an extended run against one another.
Going by their records, you'd have to pick Gillespie over Clark, especially as Gillespie can offer a bit as a batsman, and at the very least can hold his end up as he did with Gilchrist yesterday.

Honestly, I wouldn't say Bangladesh are favorites anymore. I'm predicting an Australia win because I doubt Ponting and co. will endure two consecutive shameful innings. Bangladesh should be proud nevertheless of their performance in this test. That said, hoping for some Aussie humiliation!
chasing 300 in the 4th innings on a 4th and 5th day wicket isn't going to be easy i think....despite their 2nd innings fiasco, i think bangladesh are still in with a decent chance here...:surprise:

300 chasing is never easy. Quick, consecutive wickets are the key for Bangladesh.
While I would love to think that Bangladesh could win this, I just don't see it happening.

If they don't get a couple of wickets now, the chance of them even dreaming to get a tie in this match is impossible.

C'on Bangers, keep up the respect you gained over tha past few days in world cricket!!!!!~~~~~

That's a bit over the top I think. Even if Australia get to 0/100, they could still easily lose the match. Australia only have the six batsmen in this game, and if Bangladesh was to knock out one of the openers and Ponting in quick succession, it would build the pressure pretty quickly.

Bangladesh would probably need to have a couple of wickets by tea I think. If Australia get within 100 without the bottom 5 batsmen being exposed, I think they will win.

Nice work by Hayden and Hussey here. Not doing anything silly, and showing how easy the pitch is if you apply yourself, like Gilchrist did.

Leaving aside this game for the moment, left-field prediction for the next one. I think Australia might well rest or drop (or omit due to a niggle) Lee or Clark for the next game, and pick Dan Cullen as a third spinner. Lee in particular has looked dead on his feet all test, and given how good the wicket has been for Bangladesh's spinners, Cullen might be a fair choice.

won't happen. ponting can't captain with 2 spinners in the side let alone 3. His under-use of SCG in this match has been appalling

Pathetic from Bangladesh there. They have thrown this away. Looks like the Aussies wern't too tired then 8-)
Oh come on be fair - they've done incredibly well to even get into this position in the firsat place.

Nothing Bangladeshi from this game can be called pathetic.
