BARNES OUT
OKAY SO HOW ABOUT THIS MATCH THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE MURALI HEY GUYS!? I think it's a pretty good match that we should talk about.
Erm no, the mere fact it was a friendly means we don't care about it.Son Of Coco said:haha, but you know 3-1 hurts so much more! (Even if it was a friendly)
Come on HB. It ruins everything when I have to tell that I was being sarcastic.honestbharani said:What is this "tiredness" thingy? .
You guys ruined my daysilentstriker said:Um, the opposition playing worse than you...thats the definition of playing better cricket, isn't it? No one said Bangladesh has more talent. But if Australia play lazy shots and get out, and Bangladesh play less lazy shots and don't get out, thats called playing better.
Mr Mxyzptlk said:Agreed. I don't know what came over me. It was a moment of weakness. Temporary insanity some would say. I think I may have also had a bit too much to drink too. I'm also under the influence of a local anaesthetic and admittedly it's 12:39am. I haven't eaten in a good hour or so and my blood sugar is rather low. To top it off, I've been listening to Pink Floyd. Apologies to the natural order of the sport we love.
He'll be all right in England then - that's our staple diet.chaminda_00 said:Maybe he doesn't like Australian food, not enough curried baken beans...
Did I miss the bit in cricket where chasing 300+ in the 4th innings on a wearing pitch has become a cakewalk?fishyguy said:Well BD have done it a gian a disastrous 2 nd innings collapse.
Australia pretty much on top. Wont have to chase more than 300 odd
Should win the game unless BD can pull off something miraculous.
That run out of Bashar and Aftab getting out just before play was just terrible.

The subcontinent likes people who are humble- atleast in public.Which is why Dravid,Inzy,Tendulkar,Kumble,Murali, etc. are so popular and despite his successes, Akhtar is at best 'mildly disliked' -even by the bulk of his Pakistani bretheren. And you see through squat- unless you know the man personally, you have no benchmark to go by save for the public face. And going by that, Warne is a jackhiney while Murali is a gentleman.KaZoH0lic said:I'm from the region. I know the hospitiable culture and the humble impression we like to give. So, as you see this as Murali being more humble, I see it differently from his remarks. I just see through the mannerisms, whereas with Warne, there are none. I think that also plays a big part in how a lot of people from the sub-continent judge him(Warne) and how much that opinion differs down here.
Also let's look at who's doing the slave labour over new Wembley.Scaly piscine said:1) We've got the Ashes and the rugby World Cup
2) Who gives a toss about the Commonwealth Games
3) Aussies got loads of medals from mickey mouse events like 20k walk
4) We've got the Ashes and the rugby World Cup - just in case you didn't get that the first time
Ner ner ner ner ner.
Actually no.luckyeddie said:Does anyone else find it slightly odd that Richard has been sneaking around CW for the last hour or so making beautiful music on his Harmisonica, yet he has avoided this thread?
Honestly, I wouldn't say Bangladesh are favorites anymore. I'm predicting an Australia win because I doubt Ponting and co. will endure two consecutive shameful innings. Bangladesh should be proud nevertheless of their performance in this test. That said, hoping for some Aussie humiliation!Anil said:still too stunned to add more than a token post to this thread! still can't digest bang beating aus in a test match which is what seems likely to happen unless aus pull off a huge 2nd innings miracle!
I suppose you think Richie Benaud and Geoff Boycott should give up their careers as pundits as well, since they said the same thing at the same time? How about, say, everyone else who said it?a massive zebra said:
