How good is this?! They've already outperformed SA with the bat!

Warne has a go at Murali for getting heaps of wickets against Bangladesh, and then produces figures of 20 overs, 0-112 against that same team.

I think you'll find he's just trying to avoid the same criticism! It's smart play by the blonde man

Some great batting all day by Bangla so far. Attacked when Australia went too attacking at the start of the day. Then pulled it back, when Australia realised they were playing a Test Match and it wasn't a net session. Then went back on the attack when they got in a solid position (well actually thats just Ashraful natural game). Then set up the wall as the day was comming to an end. Brilliant day of Test Cricket from Bangladesh.

The pitch looks like it offers nothing for the seamers, but there seems to be something for the spinners and looks like it might start turning quite a bit by the third day. MacGill got a bit out of the pitch during the day and when Warne tired and bowled some decent bowls, got something out of it. But i doubt Haque Jnr or Rafique will trouble the Australian batsmen too much if they apply themselves.

only because of a stupidly flat pitch. If RSA batted on this pitch they would have made alot more runs.

Pitches in RSA were better for cricket.

I imagine the five bowler policy is designed for two things.

Firstly, to take some of the workload off Lee and Warne, who have had big summers. There's no need to have them bowling large numbers of overs against Bangladesh.
Particularly when they're getting smashed.

Who was that that suggested Australia open the batting with Warne and Lee? Seriously, does the phrase 'learn your lesson' ring a bell? Why underestimate Bangladesh again. They're playing well here, and could get over 400 if they play their cards right. I think insulting them further, considering what Ponting has already said and then went back on regarding their test status, would be a disgrace.

So let me get this straight, Australia can't get Bangladeshi batsman out because the pitch is too flat.

didn't bowl overly well, but its not exactly a pitch that is difficalt to bat on.

It's not as though the runs score themselves though. And Bangladesh have more than 350 of them.
