Thinking he could score 40 and Australia could still win or whatever you made your post was never silly. Thinking he was more likely to do so than Handscomb at the start of the innings was batshit insane though, regardless of what ends up happening. Batting is high variance so him scoring 32* and Handcomb getting 10 proves nothing.

Not that I believe you actually did think that btw; you just decided to make a **** Gambhiring post because he happened to be the bloke not out yet. Yawn.
