***Official*** Australia in Bangladesh 2017

So, if Aus can somehow get this deficit down to around 65 before they are bowled out, would we say that they are back in the game or nah? As poor as they have been in these sort of conditions, you can never rule out Warner and Smith to pull something out of the hat tbh.

eh he seems like a Bracken today but at his best he's a yard quicker and his cutters have more 'fizz' behind them.
Bracken would be awesome in these conditions if the keeper wasn't Wade and you had someone who could stand up to the stumps to him. Should have gone to India in the late 2000s as a spinner. Would have carved up imo.

You can rule out Warner, you can't rule out Smith.

Australia will be in the game regardless from here because I could easily see them skittling Bangladesh in the 3rd innings.

I don't see them chasing a big target though.

Twenty minutes of the bowlers not getting their lines right against him, or him get a little lucky, and all of a sudden the game has changed and Warner has his tail up. I think it would be dangerous to rule him out because tbh he's the one who can really hurt them badly if he gets going. Smith will take his time regardless of the situation so the BD bowlers will at least be able to control him to an extent.

No because they're not going to bowl quicks to him

Yea seriously Cummins and Haze could easily cut through a nervy BD lineup in the 3rd innings. Smith could stomp a 4th innings ton to chase down 200ish. Gotta wrap this up quick and bat very well.

Pretty much. And Bangladesh can very easily fold for 200 in their second dig which would leave them around 130 to get and as weak as they are in these conditions, they'll chase it down

There are times when I can fully sympathise with *****, and this is one of them - Ashton Agar hanging around brings back memories

the ball going soft has definitely taken some sting out of the spinners

Its times like this where it pays to have a reverse-swing specialist in the side. Kamrul was supposed to fill that role in the England series but he kinda sucks. Fizzy hasn't been getting anything to happen. Shaiful is meh.

Whatever you think about Bangladesh pitches, they're producing consistently competitive cricket over the past year. Probably more than any other country.
