Maxwell will play his shots. Wade dug in a few times in India - didn't score too many iirc but hung around a couple of times. Need at least 60-70 form these two. Get up to 200, then some tail end slogging to 250 odd sets up a good test match.

Granted my comment was tongue in cheek, but there is a bit of truth in it. I don't remember Maxwell wanting to bat in the conventional batting style in terms of shot selection and structuring an innings. Has he changed that up for Tests?

Should just go into ODI mode, and Wade should just be Wade. Think they both can hustle a frustration partnership here

By his standards it was shockingly conventional. A proper test match knock.
