Oh yeah definitely. Behardien is a complete hack but still useful in in some specific situations, and he's at least been successful in a reasonably strong domestic setup. Charles has somehow performed even worse domestically than he has internationally, in all formats.
Is he worse than Behardien? The current gold standard for shitness.
Deep Dasgupta and Shiv Sundar Das.You guys clearly haven't seen Devang Gandhi or Vikram Rathour.
You literally could've said the same thing about Steve Harmison or Stuart Clark. Charles is clearly better than those guys but you're not making a compelling argument.PEWS, if he learns a bit of defence and sticking it out there (easier said than done), he can do some thing maybe. I mean he does have power.
Deep Dasgupta wasn't even an opener though. Shiv Sunder Das had good defense and all but just didn't play any shots.Deep Dasgupta and Shiv Sundar Das.
My God, we had some **** openers before Sehwag came onto the scene..
I'm quite glad to watch a one dayer where the batsman actually needs to work, rather than seeing bowlers seeing good spells disappear for 12+ runs an over just because. Why are WI pitches so slow and low-scoring? FFS, if you can't produce a half-decent team, at least don't make it such a torturous venue to watch cricket...
This isn't really because of the pitch though.100/8 in 27 overs is going too far the other way though.
It'll be easier to judge once Australia chase the total, but my instinct is that at the end of the match it'll end up with a case of it not being the pitch's fault that the Windies batsman are morons.100/8 in 27 overs is going too far the other way though.
tbf australia has a hilariously stacked ODI teamIt'll be easier to judge once Australia chase the total, but my instinct is that at the end of the match it'll end up with a case of it not being the pitch's fault that the Windies batsman are morons.
