Makes sense. However, it ignores the fact that we are not actually after simplicity, we are actually colossal nerds and love the needlessly complicated speculation about group permutations. That's why we're really in favour of NRR, and anyone who claims otherwise is lying.Head to head is so much better for the fan than having to look up a table for the third decimal place. It makes it so much simpler for the teams. If there's a team that has a chance of ending up the same as yourself, just make sure you don't lose to them. That's it. Easier said than done, but elegant, nonetheless.
Namibia.Does this make Bangladesh the form team in the world right now?
Afghanistan too.Namibia.
Yeah you can actually, you can probably have a tournament where the table topper is the one who wins it all. But I guess knock outs are much more fun and practical (otherwise you'd have all teams playing against each other, which would take forever). And knock-outs are fair because they're fixed before the tourney even starts. And there are no points in the knockout stages.Right, but couldn't one argue why have a knock-out at all when you can just award the trophy to the team that performed the best overall? Why is a knock-out stage (which is essentially a head-to-head tie breaker) fair?
That's racist! What's with all the monkey avatars?
Oh noes, someone has figured it out!!Just seems Lanka continue to **** us over one way or the other.
Nah admit it, you guys hate us. WC 07 (you ****s could have lost and still made the next stage), CB series (why try so hard when you aren't even getting paid?) and now this.
Why you hatin?
