Thanks SJS...

Manee, I had a look on the Sky Sports website... their schedule for cricket this summer didn't include the afro-asian cup... :(

I have a gut feeling that one of the asian channels will cover it (Sony, Zee, ARY etc), it would be nice to have some concrete info on the coverage in England though.

it will probably be Zee TBH...but dont count out sony or ARY. Zee had the rights for the last Afro-Asia tournament. So i would think that it would be covering it again.

Tendulkar has withdrawn from this series.
Good thing IMO...we need our players fit and ready for the huge england tour (and the ireland and scotland tour). It would be good for the players to get rest and that includes tendulkar who will be quite important for the test series, at least.

I doubt many people actually hold it in high regard, but it's something to talk about.
Its the entertainment value people are liking it for :)!

I'm just happy to see Mortaza in both the Twenty20 and ODI competition in this series :D!!!!!

Jacques Kallis according to Neil Manthorp's latest article on SuperCricket will be rested.

Revised African sides, Boucher captains in the place of the injured Graeme Smith. Jacques Kallis is being rested for this series but on top of Kallis, Makhaya Ntini, Herschelle Gibbs and Andrew Hall are also not travelling to India on Sunday. Gibbs has a hand injury whilst Ntini is taken some time off with his family and Hall's currently playing county cricket for Kent and due to the game being unconnected with his CSA contract, Hall’s under no obligation to travel. Shaun Pollock does feature but will play purely as a batsman.

This series has become even more woeful with some of the big guns pulling out. Hopefully it gives us a chance to check out some new players though.

well afridi would have played the odi team
these selector are just thick to say the least

not cos they didnt include afridi but leaving out so many good players just to impress the smaller nations by including players like razzak

Razzak is the 9th ranked ODI bowler FYI. Only Muralidaran and Vaas are ahead of him from Asia.
