**Official** Afghanistan in Zimbabwe (11th Dec to 6th Jan)

This is pretty funny after Afghanistan were touted as favourites. They appear to go at 5 an over no matter the format.
Yeah some of the posts here, and comment from the fickle Zim fans on Facebook, was way overegged. Afghanistan are not the same proposition in test cricket. They could still do well here, but it's been a lot more even than some suggested.

Williams now has five test hundreds which puts him in the top echelon of Zimbabwe batsmen. While he's faced lower quality opponents than the earlier generation, you'd have to consider putting him in an all time Zim test side.
Sean Williams was Sikander Raza before Raza got into the sublime form. Under-rated player.

Didn't know Ghazanfar would be so inaccurate in test.

Guess playing test is a bit harder.
Nobody would have known. He's 17 and never played a first class game of cricket. Probably never been in the field for 85 overs and this game might potentially last 5 days. He'll be tired.

Is there a reason why so many of the Afghanistan big hitters are absent? I know Rashid Khan is missing through ‘personal reasons’, are the rest being rested or have the management seen something to suggest that this lot are better suited to Test cricket?

Williams has always been legit. It's a real shame a lot of time was lost. He was playing hockey in South Africa after the 2011 WC, but it's great that he and the likes of Ervine are still playing after 20+ years, and they seem content.
