Very happy with my 3/25. But more happy about my 33 when opening the batting. Awsome stuff, considering im a tailender i cant complain.

GLAMORGAN 159 40.5 overs
CRICKET WEB 'A' 160/5 33.3 overs

Cricket Web 'A' won by 5 wickets

Man of the match: Ian Markus
How come I was batting so low in the order?

From memory it is the last 1D game we play, the tail hardly had a bat all tourwith declarations ect, so i guess Liam decided to chuck a couple of us up the order. No harm done, we still won :)

Cricket Web 'A' vs Glamorgan
4D
Cardiff

Cricket Web 'A' 411/7d & 275/5d
Glamorgan 367 & 323/7

Glamorgan won by 3 wickets

Man of the match: MP Maynard

How OUT:
1st
Craig - slog sweep to long leg.
StUEy - trapped on the crease.
Jamee999 - flashing aerially to the covers.
Bugssy - full and dragged on.
C Buts - top-edged sweep.
Age Master - padding up.
Sam Vimes - not out.
Zaid Ghansar - no foot movement and trapped with an in-nipper.
Master Blaster - not out.

2nd
Craig - loose drive outside off.
StUEy - trapped on the crease.
Jamee999 - playing across the line.
Bugssy - flashing hard at a rising delivery.
C Buts - bowled around his legs.
Age Master - not out.
Sam Vimes - not out.

Ultimately a disappointing loss this one, but one brought up with good intentions. The declaration came amidst intermitent rain and served to push for a rare FC victory to close off the tour. Alas, the bowlers did not hold up their end of the bargain and collapsed to less than shadows of class players. In both innings, Dave got a wicket with his 3rd ball, but Glamorgan recovered on both occasions to murder the hapless seamers.

There were some distinct positives, however. C Buts was instrumental in this game with his 2nd career FC hundred on his second attempt of the game. Bugssy also starred with his highest FC score and 2nd career hundred, whilst Craig achieved his 12th. Notable also was the quickfire blast from Sam Vimes in the first innings to push to a declaration.

In the bowling department, Timewell was by far the best bowler with Dave a distance behind as next best. Needless to say, the backup bowling was rather shocking with the possible exception of Master Blaster.

That is too tough...and it just highlights where the problems seem to be at Test level. We still don't have any world-class bowlers, while batsmen seem to prop up at every juncture...

Hmm, happy with my 6 wickets for the match, bit dissapointed about the bowling overall, Timewell was great, he's really coming through since he was included as the 17th squad member. (from memory)

Hmm the batting was consistant all tour with the bowling up and down, i take some of the blame for that as i should of been more consistant with my wicket taking throughout the tour, instead of having patches here and there.

Liam any chance of getting some tour stats when they are available? That would be much appreciated. Or a Coaches Comment regarding the tour overall.

Cheers man

tours will help us mature a splayers though guys, even though we would like more tour wins, it s good to get out and play some good opposition in other parts of the world.

it will make us all better players and hey the way the cwxi test side is we keep playing well and one day they will have to make changes.

so lets keep going and playing well and it will all turn around..

hey liam where does the a side go from here.

I agree bugs, its a development tour, not a competitive winning tour. As far as im concerned the tour had alot of pluses, Rob Timewell came on well with the ball, Sanz looked promissing untill he was injured, Kennett waws solid in the 4D matches. And thats only a handful of the bowlers.

If we keep playing like we do, the wins will come after time. Better to get foundations set before you start building. :)

dissapointing way to end the tour, but there were plenty of positives from the tour (i wont bother mentioning them again) it was great to see so many players do well, hopefully it will continue in the Dev league and possibly the CWXI in the near future.

some amazing batting there guys... but some fc bowling needs to be worked on. stUEy youre a legend.

Ha!

I take my first wicket and I get another 100, only to make a duck second time around. Fickle luck there.
