I watched Cooper Connolly bat last night in the Twenty20, and he looked decent. Stays incredibly still before delivery and seemed to time it pretty well. Not sure how he is going in shield though.
Hasn’t scored a 100 at state level in any format & batted 7 in last shield game

Talented but hasn’t done enough

We also have guys like Ben McDermott who looks to have the game but doesn’t score hundreds & is a fat ****

The time is now for someone to do a Hookes and hit 5 hundreds

A new australian Star has been born- Beau webster.

He will put pressure on the other underperforming batters in future series given his form, once Green returns.

This is high class batting. Why mitch marsh was persisted with so long?

Which morons were on ABC saying this?
I think it was Stuart Clark and someone else I can’t remember.

To be fair to them, they said they consider 300 wickets as the minimum benchmark to be considered amongst the greats, which is not that different of an opinion from many here.

He’s not young and literally only has 2 decent fc seasons behind him

We desperately need a Davies or someone to pile up some runs

Beau Webster seems to have something that is probably lacking from most of the other players from both sides this series. A very calm guy, simple plans, good execution, does the basics right. Cant believe they made this guy sit out for Marsh. He seems a proper Cam Green replacement in all possible ways.
Will it shock you to learn that he's been the dominant player in FC cricket on pitches very much like this for two seasons now?

Big part of why we were all so angry about Marsh continually being picked.

Whatever it takes!!!

He looks perfect for these conditions. And honestly, if you can trust Starc's fitness, he may well be the second seamer in SL.

Pitch seems to have lost its bite.

Australia should be able to get a 50-80 run lead from here. India don't have the 4th seamer to allow India to bowl Australia out for less than 200.

Gambhir's negative tactics has cost India the series. Keeps playing with just 3 pacers and a bunch of batting spin allrounders on green tops with pace and bounce. Just ridiculous. Rohit's been sacked. Now it's Gambhir's turn.

I think this year has shown some more promising signs in that regard, but the only guys out of the team who have managed more than one Shield ton this year are Henry Hunt and Josh Inglis. The guys who have fared best this year seem to be more inconsistent middle-aged guys rather than young tyros.

FWIW I do think the 17-20 year old crop have some really promising batters. But until they start to crack the top level we really don't know how they'll develop.

Bumrah and India pulling an England here by heading off the field all the time.

Cheating *****!

Probably trying to get his arm straightened.

Kohli is just one player. He is also on the list.
Gambhir has way more influence with his decisions and tactics (negative). So I want him out more.

Gambhir can stay on in limited overs but not Test Cricket. They are now having different captains for different formats. Now time to have a different coach for tests from limited overs.
