Yeah I love the spicier wickets we're seeing for Tests in Australia but they're even spicier in the Shield and I think it should be the opposite. The irony is that what producing the best test players is not the same as what sort of cricket is most entertaining at international level. Flat pitches, big scores, lots of draws actually seems to make better players. Batsmen get lots of time in the middle, bowlers have to develop more tools.
Not out.
It’s now supposed to rain on day four and all of day five. I almost want to pick the draw at 13.Smith gone. Reckons that means we are going to end with par scores.
I favor India in that scenario a bit. Especially if the pitch cracks a bit.The good thing for Aus is that this thing doesn't show any meaningful signs of flattening out so a one-innings shootout should still be viable, if they can make it that
They have been but it's hard to square with the general derision of FTBs and HTBs which tends to go unquestioned.many people have been saying
...how would India be favored in that scenario???I favor India in that scenario a bit. Especially if the pitch cracks a bit.
Should still end by day 4.It’s now supposed to rain on day four and all of day five. I almost want to pick the draw at 13.
That's not out.Not out.
Cheating *****.
It should rain on Day 3 instead ffs. It’s now supposed to rain on day four and all of day five. I almost want to pick the draw at 13.
Much like Michael Holding for England when on Sky in the UKFunny that, he was always an Aussie cheerleader when working for them...
Arse.
Chasing is tougher and India/Bumrah would be super motivated to close it out....how would India be favored in that scenario???
Cause we don't doctor our pitches. Why prepare a pitch like this when the opposition have the best bowler in the world?
Like Edgbaston 95 when Ambrose and Walsh did us in 2 and a half days
There is no India/Bumrah. There is Bumrah. That's the problem.Chasing is tougher and India/Bumrah would be super motivated to close it out.
On the ABC the other day, they were still debating if he’s India’s best bowler ever, if he’s done enough to surpass Kapil. The answer was no, because he doesn’t have enough wickets. So in some people’s eyes, he’s still not close to even being India’s best bowler.Skull the third commentator this morning to say Bumrah may be the best bowler of all time….
Is that a thing? Dude only has 200 test wickets
I get longevity as an important factor but this is just silly surelyOn the ABC the other day, they were still debating if he’s India’s best bowler ever, if he’s done enough to surpass Kapil.
