post reportedAs a White ball fan you have to hand it to Pollard shows why T20 is now the pinnacle of our sport, what a wonderful achievement
its the older ball that is helping with the turnOnce again, @Spark it is clearly evident from just watching Axar's live speeds that the balls that are ~85kmh are turning and gripping while those that are ~95kmh are going much straighter. In the last over he bowled four 85k balls and nearly all beat the bat on the turn and the 95 kmh ball got the inside edge
The top-soil is already showing signs of breaking. Its not as dry and flat as the Chennai pitch in the first test which also had the black soil so spinners should be in the game already. And evidently our batsman aren't that much better against spin than theirs so with us batting last it is still anybody's game.its the older ball that is helping with the turn
if the pitch gets baked and there's not as much help for the pacers like we saw early today, this game will see the team batting tomorrow pile on mountains of runs
May as well take the piss out of English batsmanship (obviously a total contradiction in terms anyway). It's all they deserve.are they chanting "We Love England" ?
