The only test we've won is when Boland came in breaking up the big 3. I don't think I've been far off. As to this match we are struggling with Lyon because he's been a passenger for 3 games and now we need him he's under done. Which is another problem with test pitches prepared as a party for fast bowlers.

I think we're also had our perceptions a little warped by how bowler friendly pitches have been in the last three years here. This is a more "standard" Australian, and especially MCG, pitch. It was never going to be as easy for the quicks as it has been before this game forever.

Amazing to see the effect conditions has on the reputation of players. The pace men looked invincible in the first 3 tests. Now they look pretty ordinary against capable batsmen playing on a reliable wicket.
