**Official** 4th Test at Melbourne, 26-30 Dec 2024

Not very impressive from Lyon so far
Yep he's looking as though he might be at the end of his career like Ashwin. He's had no impact in 4 games this series.

Another failure in Sydney, we might have to consider playing four pacers and a proper medium pace all rounder for the Ashes.

I don't see Todd Murphy doing anything either.

It's a pretty flat deck but Jadeja and Sundar were getting a little out of it, I definitely expected more out of Lyon.

I remember bambino arguing India had the wood of certain Australian bowlers, the last two Tests proved it wrong for the quicks but I worry there might be some truth for Lyon? Granted it's still early days and I really don't think anyone else would do better.

His control of length is really poor so far. Don't expect him to get loads out of his deck but he's dropped short two times an over

Field spread. No energy on the gather. Maybe I'm being pessimistic but it feels like Cummins is happy to let them milk marsh at ODI rates here with the field spread.

It feels like India have been on the ropes a lot in this series but have found a way to hang in there ..Tremendous character..
It's like an Ali vs Foreman heavyweight fight

Maybe a bit harsh but felt like Starc is getting to the BG 2021 territory for a bit today. They should be very careful playing him in Sydney

Yeah I feel like he should've been rested here. I think they would've done so if Hazlewood didn't break down, as it is things will look very risky in Sydney if Australia can't get the job done here.

The only test we've won is when Boland came in breaking up the big 3. I don't think I've been far off. As to this match we are struggling with Lyon because he's been a passenger for 3 games and now we need him he's under done. Which is another problem with test pitches prepared as a party for fast bowlers.
