**Official** 4th Test at Melbourne, 26-30 Dec 2024

I sincerely think Marsh playing four games this series is the worst selection decision I've seen by an Australian selection panel and that includes scorchers like Xavier Doherty, Michael Beer, and Cameron White as specialist spinner. It's completely ****ed up the entire balance of the team to have a black hole in the lynchpin spot of the entire team.
47 runs at 10.42, 30 overs for 3 wickets at 45.66, going at 4.56 an over

The only thing he's been able to contribute is some good catches, a weak point in this team but not making up for the lack of contribution in the other departments. I can't wait to see what excuse they use to pick him for the last test.

McSweeney would be better as an all-round option, let alone an actual all-rounder

I think I'd probably still have the Beer selection and the batting selection messes we created for ourselves in the 2013 and 2019 Ashes ahead, but maybe I'm just numb to MMarsh.

Fair to say Inglis is coming for Careys spot? Careys another hack.
Inglis is injured

And it goes to thought I've had going around fr a while - it feels like Carey only scores runs where someone else has. He doesn't play the Haddin style rescue innings, which we could use.

The Beer selection was the clubhouse leader before but there was at least a real desperation and lack of options and they just went with something left field (and terrible, obviously). Here it's so plainly, blastingly obvious what they should be doing instead - and it really doesn't help the extent to which team management has lied through their teeth about it

I mean Inglis is seriously pressuring the constantly failing Carey for the SL tour and future series. Its a calf injury i read, not long term.

You cant keep 5-6 passengers in an XI. these selectors is pathetic to pick Marsh for FOUR tests , when it was obvious he was terrible after Test 2.

Head, whilst brilliant at times, is only really a 35 AVE type of player over the long term. his 44 Ave will shoot down to this number eventually, i believe, the more tests he plays. He gets a lot of low scores as well.
