No way india can chase 260 on rain affected day 5 right? So even if no follow on. just try to hit 75 off less than 10 and then give it a go?
The risk is that we get another day like today where we get most of the overs in, and risk what happened to Bangladesh. Not Warne/Clarke style "risk losing to win" here please

For an atg against good batsmen, he’s equally horrendous against the tail
What really concerns me is that Starc is the perfect bowler for this but too often can't get it right.

As good as Cummins/Hazlewood/Starc is, I don't think it's an attack that blends the best. When Australia aren't facing Bazball Boland complements them better, IMO.

(though o/c being effectively two bowlers down doesn't help)

I don’t think there’ll be enough play for all that to happen. Rain has most likely won this test

Fascinated that Australia can simultaneously here give themselves a chance of going 2-1 up while also crocking their fast bowling attack

Be hilarious if India passes the follow on an declare to make Aus bat in failing light against the new ball

I find it astonishing Marsh can’t even roll his arm over at half rat power to give the front liners a break. It’s woeful
Are they passing him fit as an all rounder! ? Cos the TV says all rounder in the team sheet at the start of play....

That's the thing, if India avoid the follow on it goes from an 80/20 draw/Aus win to a 95/4/1 draw/Ind win/Aus win.

I don't think Cummins would go for it though. Way too risky at 1-1 especially given a draw would give India the series if they maange to win. Plus it'd just knacker the bowlers further.
